We started Java Lounge with a simple idea — a great cup of coffee shouldn't be a luxury reserved for hotel lobbies. It should be the everyday drink of Colombo, Kandy, and every Sri Lankan town in between.
Fifteen years on, we serve hundreds of thousands of cups every month from 50+ outlets across the island. Our baristas still pull every espresso by hand. Our bakers still arrive at 4 a.m. Our chocolate atelier in Nawala still tempers every bar in small batches.
The recipe hasn't changed. Just the number of people we get to share it with.
What we make
Coffee — single-origin espresso, hand-pulled. Bakes — cakes, breads, savouries, made fresh each morning. Chocolate — bean-to-bar craftsmanship under our sister brand, Chocolate Heaven. A place to sit — for a meeting, a date, an hour alone with a book.
